3.5" Alocasia Frydek Sport Variegation
3.5" Alocasia Frydek Sport Variegation
Sport Variegation is a random genetic mutation that can occur in any plant! During the leaf forming process some of the genetic code doesn't get copied correctly and creates a sport! Some of these variegations can become stabilized and classified as their own cultivar.
This Alocasia Frydek features sport variegation consistent through its leaves, meaning the variegation is likely to stay consistent through the plant’s life.
Bright indirect light, keep soil moist but never soggy. You don't want your alocasia to completely dry out, but it won't be happy with wet feet (letting it stand in water) so make sure it drains completely when watered. Must have high humidity, can be prone to spider mites in dry conditions. Can be moody about water, you may want to let tap water sit out overnight or use filtered water.
