Mimosa pudica is a conversation starter, that's for sure. With tiny leaves that are reactive to touch, when this plant is bumped, the leaves will fold up as a method of protection. This movement is caused by a change in the water pressure inside the leaves.
It's a neat thing to see, but try not to overstimulate your new plant friend. They can suffer from being poked at too much ;)
Bright indirect light (some direct is great), keep well-draining soil moist but not soggy, needs high humidity. Click here for tips on increasing humidity for your houseplants.
