10" Zamia Furfuracea | Cardboard Palm

This plant, just like the sago palm, is not actually a palm at all. It's a part of the ancient cycad plant family and it's truly fascinating.

The leaves feel a little like cardboard, just like the name implies, and they do have a bit of a fuzzy texture as well.

Lots of bright light, these plants can handle some direct light as well. Water thoroughly when the first few inches of soil are quite dry, in the winter, watering less and allowing the plant to have more of a drying period between watering. Be sure this plant has excellent drainage.
